Join Urban Initiatives on Friday, January 23rd at the 9th Annual Soccer Ball at Morgan Manufacturing, located at 401 N. Morgan St., for a night of philanthropy, dancing, cocktails, heavy appetizers and a fantastic silent auction. Each year since its inception, the wildly popular Soccer Ball has sold out. This year, the event is expected to continue growing, with over 900 estimated guests in attendance.
The Soccer Ball is an integral part of Urban Initiatives’ yearly schedule, as the event raises significant funds which sustain current health and educational programming. Additionally, the event provides the funding necessary for program expansion into additional schools and neighborhoods. Over the course of the last eight years The Soccer Ball has raised over 1.6 million dollars, allowing Urban Initiatives to expand its programming from 4 to 30 Chicago Public Schools, directly benefiting thousands of children.
Make a difference in Chicago by supporting Urban Initiatives’ annual fundraiser, The Soccer Ball. Your participation will allow at-risk youth all over Chicago to take part in an innovative program that utilizes soccer as a vehicle to motivate children to increase their potential in areas of academic engagement, social interaction, healthy lifestyle choice, and self-sufficiency. Do not miss your chance to enjoy a wonderful evening and support a great cause. Tickets are now available for $125 at urbaninitiatives.org, or $150 at the door.
Local movers and shakers are fixtures at the Soccer Ball, including: local business leaders, professional athletes, philanthropists, small business owners, educators, lawyers and doctors. Master of Ceremonies will be conducted by the duo of Marc Silverman, host of the Waddle and Silvy show on ESPN 1000, and Carmen DeFalco, host of Carmen, Jurko and Harry afternoons on ESPN 1000.
We hope to see you all there!
